Writing Workshop
"The faster I write the better my output. If I'm going slow I'm in trouble. It means I'm pushing the words instead of being pulled by them."
--Raymond Chandler
One of the reasons writer's workshop has such tremendous potential to be a powerful tool in your classroom is it allows children the opportunity to bring their lives into the classroom and to put their stories in print. They are given a meaningful avenue to share themselves with their classmates and teacher, and we know that whenever emotion is attached to learning the power of that teachable moment is greatly magnified!
